1. How do you want to feel?

Step-by-step tutorial

  1. 1

    Open the Studio

Go to the Studio page - this is where every track is made.

    • Click Studio in the top navigation (or the Open Studio button on any page).
    • Nothing plays automatically. The Studio stays silent until you press Play or Generate.
    • On phones, tap once anywhere first - mobile browsers require one tap before audio can start.
  2. 2

    Pick a feeling

Choose the emotional target you want the music to support.

    • Open the Emotional Targets panel and select one or two states, such as calm, focused, or sensual.
    • Use the intensity slider to set how strong that feeling should be.
    • Panels start closed - click a panel title to open it, click again to close it.
  3. 3

    Add a purpose

Tell the system what the session is for.

    • Open Wellness Goals and choose an outcome such as sleep, focus, recovery, or intimacy.
    • Optionally open Frequency Layer to add a binaural bed (headphones required).
    • Skip anything you are unsure about - sensible defaults are always applied.
  4. 4

    Shape the sound

Choose style, instruments, and optional vocals.

    • Music Style sets the genre feel. Instruments & Ambient Layers adds texture such as rain, vinyl, or strings.
    • Voice Layer adds sung or spoken elements when you want them.
    • The Environmental Mixer lets you layer live ambience on top of any track at any time.
  5. 5

    Review your prompt

Check the written prompt before you spend a generation.

    • Your selections are turned into a plain-language prompt you can edit by hand.
    • Use the microphone button to speak your prompt instead of typing it.
    • Click Save prompt to keep it - saved prompts appear under Your saved prompts.
  6. 6

    Generate and listen

Create the track, then play, stop, save, or download it.

    • Set the length, then click Generate track. Generation usually takes under a minute.
    • Use Stop playback (or the toolbar Stop button) to silence everything instantly.
    • Click Save to add a track to Favorites, or Download to keep the MP3 on your device.

Handy shortcuts

  • Space - play or pause the composition engine.
  • Cmd/Ctrl + S - save the current settings as a preset.
  • Shift + R - reset the composer back to defaults.
  • Every panel title is a button - click it to expand or collapse that section.

Listen safely

Keep the volume at a comfortable level, take breaks on long sessions, and never use binaural or immersive audio while driving or operating machinery. If you have epilepsy, a heart condition, or a hearing disorder, talk to a clinician before using binaural beats. Read the full safety guidance before your first long session.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use SonicSenses?

No. The Studio, Listen, Soundscapes, and Prompt Library pages work without an account. Generated tracks, favorites, and saved prompts are stored locally in your browser on the device you used.

Why is there no sound when I press play?

Mobile browsers block audio until you interact with the page. Tap the Tap to enable audio banner or press Play once more. On iPhone, also check that the silent switch is off and the volume is up.

How do I stop the music?

Use the Stop button in the Studio toolbar, or the Stop playback button on the latest track card. Either one silences the audio engine and every generated track player on the page.

Do I need headphones?

Only for binaural beats. Binaural frequency layers rely on a slightly different tone in each ear, so they need stereo headphones. Everything else works fine on speakers.

How long should a session be?

Ten to thirty minutes suits most focus, relaxation, and sleep-onset sessions. Start short, keep the volume comfortable, and stop if you feel any discomfort.

Where do my generated tracks go?

They are saved in your browser under Your tracks on this device and on the Favorites page. Download anything you want to keep permanently, since clearing browser data removes them.

Is there a limit on how much I can generate?

Yes. Daily per-device generation limits keep the service available to everyone. If you hit a limit, the app tells you and you can try again the next day.
